Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards that a company can choose to uphold which demonstrate the company’s key commitments on important issues. For us, this is how we manage our relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities we operate, including our own operations and caring for the environment.

AT FACT we are committed to help tackling social and environmental issues, but also raise our own initiatives to help tackle inclusive and diversity and create Net Zero recruitment.

Shipping is undertaking an industry-wide effort to make transportation greener. Whether upgrading assets to run on cleaner fuels, or complying with mandatory and compulsory carbon standards, there is a great demand for new, qualified talent. At FACT we have a unique insight into female and BAME (black, Asian, and minority ethnic) hires and incorporate that into our everyday business models.

Women Together was formed over two years ago during a search for female brokers to join my desk. It was a difficult process as two fantastic women were recommended to me by a client but were too overqualified for the role. However, combining our shared passion to see more women in our industry we created WOMEN TOGETHER, and are good friends to this day.

Our mission is a simple one: we want to see more women join our markets. And we endeavour to make markets greener in the process.

Via FACT Talent we work to expand the opportunity to join trading, shipping, and broking companies, as well as opportunities for companies to develop and grow.

Women Together is a reflection of these efforts in the market, combining professional expertise with an informal social networking group to deliver talent to the talent seekers. We are the markets’ choice when they want to reduce their gender and diversity gap.

We allocate funds to a bundle of world-class environmental assets that offsets the eco-footprint of one person for their first 12 months at your company.

We do this with carbon offsets, covering deforestation; yes, we plant 8 trees per your new hire and naturally as we are shipping based, we will remove 34kg of ocean-bound plastic waste captured and RECYCLE IT.
